Response to Fortenberry
I went back and re-read the letter I sent, to which Mr. Fortenberry responded. Again, I say I think he's a die-hard Liberal from the way he interpreted what I wrote. Since he has no idea where I've been, what I've seen, what I've done, nor what I've experienced, I'll overlook his ignorance and his attempt to change what I plainly said.
Again, (please read carefully, no code-speak here) I don't care what someone is, but if they're elected to public office, they must swear an oath to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. Understand? Diversity? We are all Americans first and foremost. This is a land of laws, or anarchy will take over. No one person or political party has all the right answers, nor all the wrong ones. True compromise is the only way to get the best out of both parties. I've seen how Democrats "compromise" in Congress.
Nothing ever remains the same. Even mountains eventually crumble to nothing but hills, which will further erode away. Change means either better or worse. You talk about "ridiculous laws meant to disenfranchise", so take a good, long, hard look at what look at what Liberals really want to do, especially concerning the Second Amendment. I'm not afraid of change, just the destruction of America.
On major university campuses today, conservative speakers are routinely shouted down and threatened. College instructors call for "muscle" to stop independent news cameras from recording Liberal events in public, like demonstrations and riots. If it doesn't fit the Liberal agenda, it is immediately forbidden. Sounds like Nazi Germany or pick-your-communist country to me.
People who think socialism is superior to capitalism have not gotten a good, proper education. Maybe they should "broaden THEIR horizons." You talk about diversity but that's all Liberals do--talk the talk but don't walk the walk.
You are entitled to your opinions, just as I and everybody else is entitled. I try to clearly state my opinions, but sometimes space doesn't allow it. Still, there is no valid excuse for misinterpreting what is plainly written. You SAY you're all for diversity, yet you cannot accept that I and a lot of others do not adhere to your views. Get over Trump being elected President. He won't be there long, but next time hopefully we will have two good choices for whom to vote instead of voting for the lesser of two evils.
