Grady Richard “Nathan” Mordecai was surrounded by his family as he walked into Heaven to meet his Savior on October 8, 2018. As loved ones and many lifelong friends shared memories, old and new, it is evident that Nathan impacted so many lives throughout his journey here on Earth. Nathan was born on February 20, 1985. He was a 2003 graduate of New Hope High School where he enjoyed sports and was known as a fierce competitor on the football and baseball fields. Nathan was an active member of Shaeffer’s Chapel United Methodist Church where he proudly helped lead a bible study group. Nathan loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dad, brothers and cousins. Many weekends were filled with family trips to Pickwick Lake with boat rides and fishing poles in tow. He was filled with love and always greeted his family and friends with a big bear hug and a smile. His smile was contagious, and his smirk was well known. Nathan loved God; he enjoyed life; and he found happiness with the love of his life, Heather House and her sons, Eli and Brayden. Nathan and Heather were to marry on October 20th, 2018.
