This Sunday, feel free to walk down Main Street and tour three different event venues in Columbus.

Columbus Main Street is offering the Downtown Venue Stroll for the public to explore the sites and talk to event planners. Events Off 5th at 515 College St., The Southern-A Social Venue at 513 Main St. and Venue 208 at 208 Fifth St. S. can all be toured from 1-4 p.m.

"Stroll through our beautiful downtown and dream about your upcoming gathering," said Barbara Bigelow, director for Columbus Main Street, which is sponsoring the stroll. "Visit all three and find that perfect location that can be customized for you."

You'll be able to tour each location at your own pace and might even find a venue for your next event. For more information, please contact Columbus Main Street.

A little farther down Main Street, a Columbus Laundromat was listed for sale with Coldwell Banker West Realty. Suds and Duds, 1922 Main St., is listed as a "turn-key business" to be sold as is with everything included for $148,500. The laundromat is still in operation and was opened in 2003 by current owner Dan Dobbs.

Over in Starkville, the Asian Food Market and Restaurant on Highway 12 has expanded its market to also house a restaurant.

The Asian restaurant opened its doors last week and serves lunch Sunday through Wednesday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and dinner from 5-9 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and 5-10 p.m. Since adding the restaurant, Asian Food added two new employees. You can find authentic Asian cuisine and even select fresh seafood from the market to be served at your table. Hot Pot, an Asian delicacy where your food cooks in a hot broth at your table, will be added to the expanding menu next month.

In West Point, Royal Trucking, 1323 N. Eshman Ave., celebrates its 50th year. Royal Trucking opened in West Point in 1968 and has celebrated each day this week with prices and giveaways for its 345 employees.
